We are Children's Wish
Foundation Uganda.
Children’s Wish Foundation Uganda is a registered nonprofit organization under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) operating in Namutumba District, Buwongo Village. We work to promote equitable education and holistic child development with a strong emphasis on digital literacy. Our goal is to bridge the gap between children in rural communities and the opportunities technology brings. Through our programs, we empower children, youth, and communities to learn, connect, and grow in safe and inclusive environments.
Mission
To empower young people through inclusive spaces that foster learning, creativity, and leadership, building their digital literacy and livelihood skills to shape their future and uplift their communities.
Vision
We envision a society where young people thrive in a healthy and inclusive environment, equipped with digital skills, quality education, and meaningful opportunities that enable them to innovate, earn a living, and contribute to their communities’ growth.
Goal
To bridge the digital and educational divide in rural Uganda by equipping children and youth with skills and opportunities to become confident, informed, and productive citizens.
Our Approach
Our approach is holistic, child-centered, and community-driven. We believe that empowering children, Young Women and young people requires addressing their educational, social, health, and emotional needs in a coordinated way. Through this integrated model, we nurture well-rounded individuals who are equipped to learn, lead, and thrive.
We deliver our programs through a combination of school-based, community-based, and technology-driven interventions that bring learning and support closer to where children live.
We partner with schools to establish computer labs and integrate ICT education into the curriculum while training teachers and volunteers with modern tools and methods to deliver engaging, child-centered lessons. The community digital hub provides a safe space where children and youth access technology, mentorship, and creative programs that inspire innovation and lifelong learning.
Beyond academics, we nurture leadership, confidence, and resilience through life skills, Girls` Empowerment, sports, and mentorship sessions. We also integrate health education including sexual reproductive health, mental health, and nutrition ensuring that every child learns and grows in a healthy, supportive, and inclusive environment.
